Millions of Mischiefs Rabbits, Golf & St Andrews - Adamson, Alistair Beaton

Millions of Mischiefs Rabbits, Golf & St Andrews - Adamson, Alistair Beaton: Published by The Peachfield Press, Malvern, UK, 1990 - 45 pages, limited edition of 500 copies, this unnumbered. Green boards with rabbit vignette and titling in black, decorative endpapers depicting players on the Old Course with the town of St Andrews in the background, deckle page edges. One of the more interesting reads in the library of golf. This is the lawsuit history of a famous case involving a once deeded right to raise rabbits on the golf links at St Andrews. The hares infuriated the golfers with their omnipresent burrows and the golfer's claimed antecedence. Though two decades there were several suits brought, but at the end of the day, the golfers won out in Dempster v The Golfers Society of St Andrews and the golf links were preserved to every golfer's great relief.
