The hares infuriated the golfers with their omnipresent burrows and the golfer's claimed antecedence. Though two decades there were several suits brought, but at the end of the day, the golfers won out in Dempster v The Golfers Society of St Andrews and the golf links were preserved to every golfer's great relief.
