Allan Robertson died 1st of September 1857 aged 44 years and for many years was distinguished as the champion golfer of Scotland; January 2, 1873 with report on Warrender Golf Club New Years Day handicap sweepstakes match played on the Bruntsfield Links detailing the list of winners, scores and weather conditions; January 3, 1873 recording the results of St Andrews Golf Club half yearly competition complete with list of winners and their scores over 18 holes; January 4, 1873 with the report of interesting matches played at St Andrews players included Tom Morris Sen, David Strath, the Hon Charles Carnegie, Tom Morris Jr, Mr George Glennie (Blackheath) et al, some really interesting results.
