George III - The Regency group of four printed Acts of Parliament 1811-1819 dealing with the madness of George III and the creation of the Regency under his son, the subsequent George IV, including the original Act of 1811 appointing George, then Prince of Wales, as the Regent in his father's indisposition, and the three subsequent Acts making for provision of the continuation of the Regency. An important event in British history. George III contracted a congenital disease which affected his behaviour - though it is thought today that he wasn't actually insane. These Acts brought in what is known as the Regency period, under the flamboyant George Prince of Wales
