Rare Board Game - 'L'Attaque - a French military based board game. In original box with rules printed on inside cover. Appears complete with all pieces. This is probably an original version of this game, first produced in 1909. Box lid strengthened with tape but otherwise in good condition. The game is fairly simple but much regarded for that - players move various pieces identified as military personnel across a plain board with a chess pattern design. This game has been produced up to the present day, but from the style of the pieces it would appear that this example dates from the early 20th c
