WWII - Rare German Board Game

WWII - Rare German Board Game: Adler Luftverteidigungs spiel (Air Defence Game) - a rare example of a 1941 German boardgame, featuring a graphic on front showing a German anti-aircraft gun shooting down an RAF plane, and interior contents comprising a game board, wooden play pieces - each crafted to look like planes, dice and printed instructions. Slight dusting to box exterior but otherwise appears complete and interior contents in fine condition. It was recommended for players aged 12 or over who rolled a specially designed die and moved the wooden fighters and bombers around the board. Each side has six bombers and six fighter escorts making a total of 24 planes. The objective is to attack airfields, barracks, gas and electricity works, iron works and radio stations. The board is designed to appear as if you are looking down on top of an aerial photo, although it is a fictional town. It was made by Adler from Dresden - a city which subsequently suffered considerably from allied bombing raids at the end of WWII
