A Catalogue of The Lords, Knights and Gentlemen That Have Compounded for Their Estates, printed for Thomas Dring 1655, a scarce first edition, has 139 pages- Dring's Catalogue lists those Royalists who had their land confiscated or forfeited after the defeat of the Crown in the Civil War- The estates were returned only on the payment of a fine (here listed) to the Committee for Compounding- Quarter bound in marble boards with leather spine, a later rebind, though not recent- Size 4.25" x 6.5"
