WWII - Nazi Invasion Plan - English Midlands. Militargeographische Einzelangaben uber England – Midlands, 7 Oktober 1941. Marked‚ Top Secret, oblong 8vo, green card covers, featuring 35 pp of photos of targets throughout the Midlands. These included: Worcester, Peterborough, Upton on Severn, Birmingham, Stratford on Avon, Coventry, and the Grand Union Canal in Warwickshire. The date of this volume, prepared after the Battle of Britain when the original invasion of Britain had to be postponed due to the heavy losses inflicted on the German Airforce, shows that invasion was still very much in Hitler’s mind, and in fact remained so until later in 1944.
