Music a fine collection of approx

Music a fine collection of approx. 50 mid-19th printed ballads, compiled into two volumes, each with burgundy Morocco covers. Many of the songs come with the original colour covers. Some minor foxing to edges to a few, one with closed tear (repairable in our view), otherwise in generally good condition. Folio. Composers include: Steven Glover(many publications), Miss M Lindsay, John Blockley, Stephen Foster ('Nelly Bly'), Joseph T Stone, Thomas Graham, John Barnett, Bellini, Alexander Lee, Charles E Horn, Mendelssohn, J P Hullah, William Horsley, Lord Mornington, Julius Benedict, Claribel, Alberto Randegger, Charles Gounod, Dolores, Henry Smart, Langton Williams, Gluck, Miss Davis, Handel, Virginia Gabriel, Meyerbeer, Alexander Reichardt, A Fesca, Isaac Berrow, Howard Glover, G Preyer, G A Macfarren, Wilhelm Ganz, John Blockley, Sara Flower, William Sterndale Bennett, Edward Southwell, W T Wrighton, John Parry, Franz Abt. Rare. This is a fine compilation of rare printed mid-19th century music, by composers whose works have largely disappeared from public performance, and thus copies are doubtless scarce. From research most of these date from around 1850 and demonstrate the musical tastes of the public at that time - very much influenced by the works of Mendelssohn.
