Northumberland - Tuggle Hall, Bamburgh. Fascinating group of documents relating to the sale of all the effects of Tuggle Hall, near Bamburgh, Northumberland, belonging to Thomas Younghusband, dated 1802. Including a ms account book containing the fair copy of an indenture of sale, as well as a record of all transactions, a draft copy of the indenture of sale, and a 4to notebook listing everything which was sold, to whom and how much was paid. This also contains a collection of many lose documents containing similar information. Thomas Younghusband, of a long-standing family from the area appears to have died shortly after this group of documents were drawn up, suggesting that the sale was in advance of his death.
