Rare Rugby Archive, Peter Rees, Llanelli & Wales (Qty): Peter Rees was twice capped by Wales as a wing in the 1940s, went on to be President of Llanelli and at his 2020 death had been the oldest living Welsh cap. This unique collection from his archives includes lovingly-preserved invitations to play in Welsh trials and internationals; the itinerary (signed by Welsh/US entertainer Tessie O'Shea!) and Eiffel Tower post-match Dinner Menu for the France away match in 1947; an extract from the 1967 F v W programme with a 1947 photo signed by Rees and the other players pictured; a graph of Llanelli's relative percentage playing records 1946-1970; four congratulatory telegrams on his caps and three invitations to play in charity games; a gilt-embossed mint leather wallet from the Llanelli-S Africa game 1970; a mint recent Scarlets wallet; and an offficial steward's badge from the Llanelli-NZ game of 1963.
