The Following two lots are consigned by the family of the late Norman Fender, a schoolboy, senior and dual code international rugby star for Cardiff, Wales (6 caps), York and the Wales (9 caps) & GB Rugby League side in the late 1920s and early 30s. Travelling with Great Britain on the 1932 Australasia Rugby League Tour: 1932 Rugby League Great Britain Tour to Australasia – Norman Fender (1910-1983) Rugby Cap and Cloth Badge & Photo Album – the Cap in Burgundy with gold braid and tassel, embroidered to the front 'Rugby League Tour – Crest – 1932', with 1932 to the peak, internal label with Norman Fender in ink, good lining and overall a nice example, together with a Rugby League Tour cloth badge with same details in blue, a wonderfully presented Photograph album containing images and real postcards of the team travelling, some signed postcards by Alf Ellaby and Bernard Hudson, plus other images noted contains approx. 85 photographs and postcards, plus a Rugby League Touring Team Australia and New Zealand 1932 Press Record Book containing newspaper cuttings, various Souvenir booklets of New Zealand, all compiled by Norman Fender. Also included is a hallmarked 9ct gold Kangaroo lapel stick badge top 0.6g, and a 9ct gold hallmarked bulldog lapel pin stick, 2g. Former property of Norman Fender and comes directly from the family. Norman Fender a Welsh dual-code international rugby player who played rugby union for Cardiff as a flanker and rugby league with York. He won six caps for Wales at rugby union, and also represented Wales at rugby league. In 1932/33 he toured Australasia with Great Britain.
