The next eight lot, nos. 353-355a, plus other lots in the later Rugby League section, are consigned by the family of the late Norman Fender, a schoolboy, senior and dual code international rugby star for Cardiff, Wales (6 caps), York and the Wales (9 caps) & GB Rugby League side in the late 1920s and early 30s: Very Rare Wales Rugby Union International Cap, 1929-30: Norman Fender's Welsh Cap by Forsyth's, red-panelled, three feathers badge, with silver braid & tassel and 1929-30 to peak. Very little wear after over 90 years, and very evocative and collectable, named to inner; c/w his 6” x 4” b/w team photo at Twickenham in 1931, signed to reverse by Claude Davey, Ned Jenkins & Tom Arthur.
