1870 & 1935 Cheltenham College Rugby XV Honours Boards (2): Each 42” h x 14” w, inc arched tops, strong & substantial wooden inscribed boards with hooks to rear, gold and red with bold black printing of the names of the College's Football XVs of those years. Clearly from an extensive series of such boards. The first name on the 1870 board is that of a Welsh-born England international, Edward Simcocks Perrott, then 18, capped five years later. An old split in that board has been strongly repaired, there is a little other wear to both, only to be expected; overall they are in great condition for age, over 150 years in the earlier case, and are wonderfully nostalgic and 'tangible' rugby memorabilia from a major early rugby-playing school. Ideal for display: a magnificent opportunity
