Rare and early 1870/80s England International Rugby Cap: A classic England maroon panelled cap with silver braided rose and tassel, some fraying to rear and along creases above & below the rose but overall (G) for age and significance. Note: The cap had been in the possession of the Manchester Club for generations, and had many players selected to play for England during the first decade from 1871-1882, though the Club then didn't produce another player for England until the early 1900s
