Famous Scarce WW1 Rugby 'In Memoriam' Volume etc (3): The iconic, much sought-after 578pp 1919 book recording in words and pictures those players from the Yorkshire RU area who died in action during the Great War, and also as many as possible of those clubmen who joined up. It also contains the Yorkshire RFU Handbook for 1919-20. Fascinating detail, both sad and heartening. Maroon leather-bound, some damage to the extremities of spine but otherwise very good, gilt titles bright and still a clean, tightly bound example. Not to be missed. Comes with items from just before and just after wars: an invite to a 1913 Nightcaps Rugby Club Ball at Otautau, in the South Island of NZ; and a colourful blazer badge patch for Rugby Egypt, 1948-9.
