1904 Stroud Golf Club Minute Book - recording the 1st Meeting of "A few gentlemen of Stroud thinking it desirable that a Golf Club should be started on Rodborough Common, who held a preliminary meeting to talk the matter over at Royal George Hotel" on February 10, 1904. It continues for the rest of the black leather bound Minutes Book until the final entry dated 24. 9. 1915. One volume only, handwritten. The last 2 pages list the names of the members and notes resignations. These latter mostly due to army recruitment, for the 1914-1918 war. Final item in the minutes "Rodborough Bowling Club are inviting all the wounded soldiers to a tea, some Thursday shortly, and wish to know if it happens to rain if they may use the pavilion. Of course, we said Yes!" 24th of the 9th 1915 there is an additional separate folded sheet-Report on Statement of Accounts for Year ended March 31, 1914.
