Rare 1894 Chiswick Golf Club - 'Suggestion Book' - in the original leather and gilt boards…

Rare 1894 Chiswick Golf Club - 'Suggestion Book' - in the original leather and gilt boards commencing October 21st 1894 to Dec 6th 1902 - which makes for interesting reading as well as creating many problems for the club - the final suggestion dated 6th Dec 1902 signed by 4 members "that in most well-known clubs find a suggestion book quite unnecessary and that Chiswick Golf Club adopts this idea and that members write to the Honorary Sec on all subjects" - the whole book makes for great reading - one in particular stands out "that if the caddies are allowed to bathe in the ponds, it is suggested that the club supply bathing costumes, and several caddies were bathing in natures garb on Wednesday 20/8/02" - overall 10.75" x 8.5" covers obviously have wear from use! Note Chiswick Golf Club was formed in 1892 and eventually went for development 1907. The Club was given the opportunity to merge with the Fulwell Golf Club and this offer was accepted in 1907. Members of that club today still play for trophies which were originally won at Chiswick. Note: Part Three - Golf Collection from "David Easby Estate".
