Pre 1914 Manchester Rugby Club Cap issued to L Haigh - fine red and silver, with elaborate braided club badge and tassel c/w name, dates 1909/10/11/12 embroidered to peak and handwritten name to label. Note: Leonard Haigh was a prominent playing member, Club and Lancashire Captain & 7x England international who was, sadly, to become a First World War casualty, dying in 1916 of pneumonia contracted during a training exercise. He played in the first Twickenham international, beating Wales in 1910. Highly collectable.
