Rare 1907 Cardiff v South Africa JL Williams silver cigarette case: Hallmarked silver case engraved with the coat of arms of the club, a Dragon & Springbok, the result from Cardiff's famous 17-0 win over these first 'Bok tourists to the UK. This was one of just three defeats for the mighty S Africans. Signature etched on the verso J L Williams: 17 times capped for Wales, just two losses, popular wing Johnny 'Bach' Williams, later Captain,16th Battalion Welsh Regiment died from wounds received at the Battle of the Somme on 12 July 1916.
