Note In 1996 after a glittering amateur career, Tiger Wood’s turned professional. The world’s leading sport magazine “Sport Illustrated” ran a major feature on the Wood’s prospects in the professional game. World renowned illustrator Robert Grossman was commissioned to origin 8 a colour cartoon which would epitomise Wood’s transition. He produced what is now the very famous cartoon entitled “All Eyes On Tiger Woods” which was featured in “Sport Illustrated” magazine in September 1996 as well as one of his most recognised works Grossman created the familiar airplane tied in a knot for the 1980 film comedy AIRPLANE! Note: Robert Grossman was born in New York as well as being a highly respected sculptor, author and Academy award nominated filmmaker he was one of the world’s most respected animators. Grossman’s work has appeared on the covers up over 500 publications including “The New York Times”, The Nation, The New Yorker, The New York Magazine, ‘The Time Magazine’, National Lampoon and Rolling Stone Magazine. His sculptures and oil paintings have been widely exhibited throughout the world including a solo exhibition at The Galerie Vontobel Zurich and in 2007 a permanent exhibition of his works from every stage of his career in New York.
