1920s Scarce Wales Scarlet International Rugby Jersey exchanged with Dr A C Gillies - who played four times v Wales, his first cap in 1924, then 1925 to 1927. This Welsh example has held its dark scarlet colour beautifully, contrasting strongly with the white Three Feathers badge with blue scroll. Full collar and buttons, makers’ label (ironically, but for a time, traditionally) for Forsyth’s of Scotland. Excellent. Note: Dr A C Gillies (Scotland, Watsonians, Carlisle and Manchester RFC) winner of 12 caps for the Scotland in the backrow – moved to Manchester, and captained the Club in 1928-29.
