India & Punjab – Opening of Saragarhi Gurdwara fine vintage full page original newspaper article entitled ‘A Monument to Heroes’ with photographic images of the Opening of the Saragarhi Gurdwara at Amritsar, and with another of the Rajah of Patiala attending the ceremony with the Commander in Chief, dated 1902. The memorial at Amritsar was built in memory of the brave 21 Sikh soldiers who fought to their last breath at the strategic military post at Saragarhi in the North West Frontier region against thousands of Afghan tribesmen.
