Severiano Ballesteros Personal Golden Ram Pro Model No.3 Iron stamped with Seve Ballesteros initials S B to the toe end of the blade – the 3 iron was part of Seve’s set which he used to win his first Open Golf Championship in 1979 at Royal Lytham and St Annes and was given to the consignor immediately after his victory – note a recent Auction saw Seve’s 9 iron from the same Open Championship realise £6000 and was consigned by the same consignor as in this sale. Note The consignor, who lives in Madrid, became the Managing Director of the APG and one of the goals was to foster new talent and help them make a career in golf. It was during that period that he had the opportunity to meet a 15 year old rookie called Seve Ballesteros and knew immediately that he would be a major force in golf. They became very close friends, partners, and at a point in time he was asked to be his Manager and personal assistant. A role which he happily took from 1978 until 1987. Seve personally gave him this club and can be authenticated by direct members of Seve’s Family. Furthermore there are several photographs of both Seve and the consignor when Seve won his first Masters, et al. Full Personal Details are available to the successful purchaser.
