Koechlin-Swartz was a French artist who worked in India in 1854, mainly creating pencil drawings which he later sold to the illustrated press, together with ~The Akali of the Sikhs~ Engraving from a drawing by Marshall Claxton 1857 measures 17x22cm approx., in card mount. Marshall Claxton (1811-1881) was an illustrator and painter who visited India in the 1850s (3)
