Provenance The consignor who is now 75 year old and still holds a Spanish Golf Federation licence number 2174. His father also held a Spanish Golf Federation Licence no. 274. His father was a Golf Pioneer in the early 20th century and was one of the sponsors of the Spanish Golf Federation. The consignor took up some of his fathers Senior roles in the 1970s when he retired. At the same time he also became one of the founders of the Spanish Professional Golfers Association (APG) in the late 1970s. He became the Managing Director of the APG and one of the goals was to foster new talent and help them make a career in golf. It was during that period that he had the opportunity to meet a 15 year old rookie called Seve Ballesteros and knew inmediately that he would be a major force in golf. They became very close friends, partners, and at a point in time he was asked to be his Manager and personal assistant. A role which he happily took from 1978 until 1987. Seve personally gave him this club and can be authenticated by direct members of Seve’s family.
