Visit of His Majesty’s Airship R100 To Canada 1930 Publication - A very interesting 96 page Canadian publication detailing this visit of the newly constructed Airship to Montreal. With photographs & artists illustration of the Airship & men involved etc. Text giving its construction designed to carry 100 passengers between England and Canada or India. Printed on fine gloss paper, size 8½” × 11¼”. The R100 was largely designed by Barns Wallis who later designed the Wellington bomber and the bouncing bomb of Dambusters fame. The Airship made a successful trial crossing to Canada and back, but although better designed and constructed, it was scrapped when Airship R101 crashed in France in 1931
