An Early Dutch Folding Fan, c. 1780s A beautiful folding fan with bone pierced and inlaid guards with matching sticks forming a figural scene, with paste rivet, the paper mount painted with a large central shaped cartouche showing Allegorical Figures in an Arcadian landscape, and two shaped rectangular cartouches either side painted with fruits and beehive, the single leaf painted verso with flowers and gilt foliage, guard length 28cm, width approx. 49cm.
