Mayo College Magazine [First 3 issues] with lovely cover by John Lockwood Kipling, the writer’s father, Edited by Herbert Sherring, Vice-Principal Volume 1 No. 1 – April 1905 Volume 1 No. 2 – July 1905 Volume 1 No. 3 – November 1905, Printed At The Scottish Mission Industries Electrical Press, Ajmer. Mayo College in Ajmer, originally meant for the princes of the states of Rajpootana or Rajasthan, was set up in 1875 and still exists. It took the college 30 years to come out with a school magazine and the 3 issues are bound together in green cloth with leather spine and gilt title on cover and lovely endpapers. The 3 issues are preceded by a colourful cover carrying the school’s coat of arms [prepared from designs furnished by Lockwood Kipling’s, the author’s father, according to a note on p. 3 of the first issue] and the title printed in gold.
