Autograph - Alexander Graham Bell (1847-1922) American inventor of the telephone Signed Postcard - on a pre-stamped postal card to P. D. Richards, a neighbour, friend, and scientific associate who collaborated with Bell in the development of early liquid transmitters that could transmit multiple telegraph messages Nov 30 [1887?] ‘Yr. letter received with my thanks. I think the paper must allude to some Spiritual Medium. At all events the whole thing is worded so as to make me feel sceptical [sic]. I want to see you very much. I shall be at 18 Beacon St. all Saturday.’ Along the left margin, Bell adds: ‘Couldn't we dine together on Saturday?’ with signature at end, Bell formed the Bell Telephone Company, and established the Volta Laboratory which produced numerous related inventions and improvements on existing technology.
