1919 French Magazine with Historic Rugby Cover Pic: Just over a century old, this 16 pp larger-than-A4 copy of the French periodical ‘Le Miroir’ has a splendid photograph to the front cover of its Sunday, 4 May 1919 edition. It depicts British King George V, who had given his name to the trophy, greeting the French team who were about to take on NZ, the winners of the Kings Cup Tournament, in a celebration match at Twickenham in April, won 20-3 by the NZ Services.
