Lowrie was a missionary traveller who visited the court of Lahore in May 1833, and wrote extensively about his stay in the Punjab, he writes of Initiation from Ranjit Singh, River Bias, Sacred reservoir of Amritsar, Tout of Lahore, visits of two Fakirs courtiers, interview with King, Appearance of Lahor, Ranjit Singh’s hunting excursion, notes on the Panjab and the Sikhs, Loodhiana to Simla, etc.
