Original Artwork – John Francis Bee (1895-) watercolour depicting horse and cart within village scene, possibly a design for Railway poster. Designer of stage settings, posters and showcards, born in Wolverhampton Studied art for four years in Europe and the Near East. Exhibited in Manchester and worked at Loughborough and Liverpool. His work was illustrated in 'Commercial Art' and 'Posters and Publicity'. Towards end of his life, he worked in the advertising department of the Norvic Shoe Company in Finchley, North London. His posters bore a distinctive capital 'B' monogram, but his carriage panel artwork carried his normal signature. Produced posters for LNER & BR. Produced artwork for LNER Post-War, W Region series.
