Walton, Izaak and Cotton, Charles – “Complete Angler or The Contemplative Man’s Recreation” 1825 publ’d by William Pickering London, with new designs by T Stothard Esq R.A - written in two parts, the first based on writings by Walton (1593-1683), the second by Cotton (1630-1685) and includes biographical sketches of the authors as well as a note to readers by Walton. It is indexed and has engraved black and white plates - in the original cloth boards with paper title to spine ink stain along the top pages up to and including page 115 together with some damp stains along the bottom of the pages from 97-198 with pages 154-182 seeping up to nearly half the page – the remaining pages clean– the book measures 3 7/8” x 2.5”
