A ‘Thank you’ Card sent by Lord Norreys, the eldest son of the Earl of Abingdon, to his supporters in Oxfordshire at the 1837 General Election - when he headed the poll with 3002 votes. He represented Oxfordshire from 1830 – 1852 except for a brief period in 1831/2 when he was ousted because of his lukewarm support for Reform. He represented Abingdon from 1852 until he succeeded to the Earldom in 1854. Printed in blue with decorative borders, framed measures 21x17cm approx.
