McGregor, George F- complete set of “Open” (Golf Championship) Reflections – covering 1948 (Muirfield won by Henry Cotton), 1949 (Royal St Georges won by Harry Bradshaw), 1950 (Troon won by Bobby Locke) and 1952 (Royal Lytham won by Bobby Locke) it also comes with McGregors Reflection on 1951 Open played at Royal Portrush (won by Max Faulkner) which in McGregor opinion “the R&A had killed a good deal of enthusiasm by taking the Open to Portrush” which was endorsed by the lack of support from both players especially Overseas and the general public – all the books make for good reading and many of McGregor observations were implemented by The R&A – all in the original pictorial wrappers – some soiling to the covers 1950 otherwise overall (G)
