1810 The Bristol Fire Office Policy of Assurance – dated 11th July 1810, Gloucester, with the sum of One pound nineteen shillings and four pence on an annual basis, with vignette to top centre, printed and completed by hand. Founded in 1769, passed to the Imperial Fire Insurance Company 1839. It was the first company to pay ‘the whole of the loss to every sufferer by Fire, without the deduction of Three pounds per Cent’.
