Unique Pathescope footage entitled the Conquest Of The "Graf Spee" - 9.5 mm Newsreel - B/W Mute, April 1940. Footage of the sinking of the Graf Spee who had inflicted heavy damage on the British ships in the Battle of the River Plate but was damaged and forced to put into port at Montevideo. Convinced by false reports of superior British naval forces approaching his ship, Hans Langsdorff, the commander of the ship, ordered the vessel to be scuttled.
