‘Secret’ XXXXVII Panzer Corps Document and Map Archive with Joachim Lemelsen Signed Documents – a large selection of maps and typed documents - referring to the 7th Panzer Division, with fold out maps of parts of the Ukraine, predominantly the documents are marked ‘Secret’ and ‘Top Secret’ dated from towards the end of August, throughout September and into October 1943, with a wealth of information included towards the divisions SS-panzergrenadiers Totenkopf, SS panzergrenadiers grossdeutschland, SS Panzer grenadiers, Das Reich also appears on the second part of the folders and 3rd and 6th Panzer divisions with extracts such as ‘The enemy defends himself in the area of Krassnokursk- Parchomowka with rising fire activity. The replacement of exhausted with fresh formed units is possible. In the section of Perechowka – Udarnik the enemy is preparing for a new attack with fresh infantry, strong artillery and tank forces’. Lemelsen was a German general in the Wermacht of Nazi Germany during World War II and a recipient of the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. Within two folders marked ‘Corps Command’ to the front and contain a large quantity of typed papers, dated and some signed, plus 14x fold out maps many with notes and marks – a superb selection of historic content (2)
