WWI – Letter From Egypt – an interesting letter written by Frederick Adolphus Fynney - shoe smith 19th. Reserve Battery Royal Field Artillery, referring to seeing his discharge papers and being stopped from work in the Shoeing Shop, Woolwich, before Christmas with £5 in his pocket. Complaining that beer costs the equivalent of one shilling and threepence a quart but only receiving two shillings a day in pay which is paid every two weeks.
