Scenery of the Whitby and Pickering Railway Book 1836 by H. Belcher first edition. A 115 page book with 12 full plate illustrations and several others within the text. Interesting very early railway publication describing the views and places of interest along the 24 mile route where at this period, a type of horse drawn stage-coach ran along the rails - as illustrated in some of the plates. Also a detailed account of the railway’s opening during the same year. Mauve board cover, appears overall in good condition, repairs to spine
