E - “Chronicles of Blackheath Golfers – with Illustrations and Portraits” 1st ed 1897 published Chapman & Hall, London, in original blue and gilt decorative cloth boards and spine (top and tail of spine rubbed and worn), corners have been repaired with dark blue leather, original frontis and other illustrations with tissue leaves, some slight discolouring to the edges of the pages, appears to have been rebound with new white front and rear end inside boards and free end plates (F/G). Note: Blackheath is celebrated as the earliest known golf club in England. The book consists largely of extracts from the minutes and records of the club and is the earliest known history of any golf club
