3x rare Vic shooting glass ball targets – comprising half diamond and half bramble pattern and an embossed figure of a shooter – the raised diamond and bramble pattern surface prevented shot from bounding or ricocheting off the edge of the surface of the ball – in most instances any shot hitting one of the ridges would break the ball - comes with a custom fitted dark stained mahogany plinth – overall 8x 8” Note Glass target balls were produced from circa 1877 to approximately 1900 and used for trap shooting (instead of Live Pigeons) which were eventually replaced by the modern “Clay Pigeon”
