Very rare and unusual – Ashford Patent “Skibbie” extreme bulger composite and metal encased driver c.1893 - the most unusual feature of the club is the composite head showing the makers foxes head cleek mark and patent name to the Crown and fitted with a period leather grip with underlisting. Note see the Jeff Ellis auction 1284 similar lot with a wooden head realised $5000 and one of the first iron and wood clubs ever made and only a handful are known
