1928/29 England Cricket Tour to Australia - Rare pair of 18ct gold and enamel presentation cricket cuff links – hallmarked London 1928/29 - both cufflinks are inlaid with the enamel MCC colours (chipped) and an enamel Kangaroo (G) and engraved on the backs of all four with 1) To H Sutcliffe (Yorkshire) 2), MCC Australian Team, 3) On Winning The Ashes Jan. 1929, 4) From Ferguson – note chips to both of the Enamel MCC colours – wt 13.7gms England won the 3rd Test match in January 1929 going 3-0 up in the series and with only two test matches left – Herbert Sutcliffe scored his 4th hundred in five successive test innings. Bradman made his debut for Australia in the first test match but was dropped for the 2nd Test but was reselected for the 3rd scoring his first century at only 20yrs old.
