King George III 1801 Royal Warrant for the appointment of a legation secretary at Naples…

King George III 1801 Royal Warrant for the appointment of a legation secretary at Naples ‘To our good Brother the King of the Two Sicily’s’. Hand Signed by King George III top left above the Royal Seal. Also signed by Hawkesbury as Foreign Secretary (he later as Lord Liverpool became Prime Minister 1812-27). An 8 page document tied with silk appointing William ? Court, 1st Baron Heytesbury GCB PC (11 July 1779 – 31 May 1860) as Legation Secretary, (he went back there as Envoy Extraordinary in 1814, later was Ambassador to Russia), being of text in English and 3 pages translated into Latin. Plus 2 blanks and cover. (Interesting date as there is a Lord Nelson connection as at that time Lord Hamilton was British Ambassador at Naples with Lady Hamilton so Lord Nelson at every excuse was frequently in port refitting his ships).
