India – Second Sikh War Memoirs. First edition of Memoirs of General Sir Henry Dermot Daly, 1905, 388pp, 22 illustrations, includes at Multan capture of the Sikh Standards, Punjab Cavalry, Burj at Peshawar, fine photogravure of Lawrence, Herbert Edwardes and Henry Lawrence together, the Idagh where Vans Agnew and Anderson were murdered by Moolraj at Multan. Daly was heavily involved in the Mooltan campaign during the Second Sikh War, he later raised the 1st Punjab Cavalry, and took park in Lucknow, Delhi, Oudh and Gwalior. Together with a first edition copy of A History of India from the earliest Times to the Present Day by Sir George Dunbar, 1936. With 64 illustrations including a miniature of Ranjit Singh, and 16 maps. (2)
