The first from May 1984 and shows a checkpoint in the vicinity of the Golden Temple, the second photo is post Operation Bluestar and dated 9th June 1984, and the inscription on the reverse reads ‘After Wednesdays attack on the Golden Temple…a Sikh member of parliament said at least 600 followers of Sant Jarnail Bindrwanwale who also died…In Delhi 1200 Sikhs are under arrest and report of desertion from the army ranks by Sikh soldiers’. Bothe photos measure 26cms x 17cms each and have inscriptions on reverse.
