India Punjab – Two large maps of the Punjab. The first one titled “India, The Punjab Cashmere & C.” dated 29th November 1857 (48cm by 34cm). The second a paper and fabric British Military map titled “Punjab – Lahore and Ferozepore Districts & Faridkot State Season 1912-13” (55cm by 44cm). The first map depicts Punjab after the fall of the Sikh Empire whilst the second map focuses on the Cantonment area of Ferozepore and was published under the direction of Colonel T.F.B. Renny-Tallyour, C.S.I, R.E, the Surveyor General of India. An interesting and rare survival prior to the hostilities breaking out of the First World War in 1914. Size 99cm by 126cm.
