Trade ledger late 19th c good example of a trade ledger dated May 1887 onwards, belonging to George Lashford of Cardiff and recording considerable number of trade deals with clients alphabetically listed. Unusually, many of the transactions are signed across revenue stamps, and as one of the customers is W D & HO Wills, the tobacco firm, and there are references to dock based clients, it is likely that this covers merchandise for which excise duty was levied.
