Military – Major General Julian McCarty Steele two manuscript note books compiled by Steele as a cadet at Military College, written throughout in a very neat hand and with some finely executed drawings in his hand illustrating various aspects of Military strategy. Steele who was awarded the CB, CMG and DSO during WWI entered the Coldstream Guards in 1890 and served during the Boer War, and commanded the 22nd Infantry Brigade during WWI. He commanded the 1st Guards Brigade at Aldershot from 1920-1924. He died in 1926.
